Is-sinjal għal ĦASEL (xi ħaġa) jsir bl-idejn forma ta’ ponn. Ponn wieħed jieqaf bil-pala tħares ’il fuq waqt li l-ponn l-ieħor, bil-pala tħares ’l isfel, jinżel fuq il-ponn il-wieqaf u jimxi min-naħa għall-oħra fuqu qisu qed jogħrku. Ara ukoll ĦASEL L-ART u NĦASEL

The sign for WASH (something) is made with both hands in the shape of fists. One fist is held stationary with palm facing upwards whilst the other fist moves onto the stationary fist with palm facing downwards and moves from one side to the other over it as though scrubbing it.
